Darren Cave - Managing Partner

Darren brings over 20 years’ experience in technical, performance-driven project management with a current, proven track record in strategically planning for, and delivering, project development solutions for specialist services to Australia’s public sector as well as bluechip energy, mining and infrastructure clients. Darren is engaged in his areas of expertise and is an active participant in numerous key industry organisations. Darren has delivered construction projects in the renewable energy, oil and gas, water, wastewater, building and transport infrastructure construction sectors as Project Director, Joint Venture Manager, Project Manager and Commercial Manager. He has strong communication skills able to be applied at various levels and is a proficient stakeholder management specialist. Darren has held principal responsibility for tendering and proposal activities across a broad range of services: operations and maintenance, steel fabrication, drilling and well servicing, water and wastewater construction, civil construction, mining services, telecommunications construction and oil, gas and energy construction.

Niall Callan - Partner and Head of Project Management

Niall is a talented, resourceful and versatile construction professional commanding 26 years of progressive success in energy, resources and manufacturing infrastructure projects. Niall has a proven ability to lead, plan and manage large teams delivering projects from early development and engineering phases of a project’s lifecycle through to project execution and completion. He always provides the most efficient, practical solution for clients. Niall has a mature understanding of Project Management principles and an established past performance of applying a disciplined approach to the development, construction, and the ongoing management of large projects. In remote locations Niall has led large workforces to construct complex assignments, spanning wide geographic regions and piloted consistent and focused delivery.

Niall understands the importance of bringing total dedication, the highest standards and accountability to achieve quality outcomes for the benefit of all stakeholders. He has excellent communication skills and operates well across various levels, able to direct a blue-collar workforce and present and report at Board level. Niall’s experience in ASX listed companies demonstrates a capacity to operate in highly governed environments, whilst his involvement in smaller construction contractors exhibits that he is able to apply that structure in circumstances without it.

Lachlan Winterbotham - Partner and Head of Special Projects

Lachlan is a results-oriented, highly productive project management professional with an ability to communicate on various levels whilst maintaining a strong and clear focus on client needs. Lachlan’s organised and methodical approach stems from his mechanical background and his ground-up understanding of successful major project execution. Lachlan’s project management capabilities have been honed by over 20 years of construction management and project management roles as a member of successful delivery teams on complex infrastructure projects.

He has an understanding of operating in brownfield as well as greenfield construction environments, with a genuine reputation for successful project delivery across the energy, oil and gas, water, resources and transportation sectors.

David has over 28 years’ experience in the development and delivery of major infrastructure projects, both in Australia and abroad. He draws from his extensive and diverse project track record to consult and guide his clients through complex infrastructure project developments. David is an experienced negotiator, having led numerous major project bids, balancing a managed risk profile in a competitive environment.

Through his expansive project involvement David has demonstrated his ability to strategically lead multi-disciplinary, complex teams and his high-level knowledge and understanding of the development and ongoing operation of multifaceted infrastructure projects. David is a leader in the advancement of public infrastructure projects and has a proven performance history of using his diverse capability and indepth, technical connection to projects and their complexities to develop and implement best practices in project management and delivery, from inception to completion. David has been a key player in the development and operation of various joint ventures and private and public partnerships, both here in Australia and around the world.

As a leader, David has chaired Early Contractor Involvement teams, building alliances which saw best value achieved for the client.

Julio Bará - Head of Health, Safety, Environmental and Community

As head of Lidiar Group’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Community division, Julio works with our clients to understand their key workplace health and safety needs, identify issues, and provide actional and impactful solutions extending beyond the traditional health and safety consultancy model. With a strong educational background in clinical physiology and over ten years of practical experience, Julio’s praxis centres on the belief that improving health and safety in the workplace is key to improving employee engagement and driving productivity.

Julio offers 15 years of expertise in the strategic development, implementation and operationalising of health, safety and risk management systems and the establishing of holistic wellbeing and cultural transformation programs. He specialises in identifying and meeting the physical, psychological, social and mental health needs of workplaces to drive organisational capability, capacity and confidence.

With a track record of collaboration with medium to large-scale corporate, multisector clients nationwide and globally, Julio leads data-based, outcomes-focused health, safety and environmental solutions that utilise human-centred design and incorporate human factors, ergonomics, physical exercise, work/life integration, community connection, and the addressing of vicarious trauma and family and domestic violence.

Julio has led and supported programs in industries as diverse as Legal and Professional Services; Asset Management; FCMG; Local Government; Mining; Manufacturing; Retail and Health and Aged Care. Candy Lopez - Associate – Project Engineer

Candy is a highly qualified, data-driven Civil Engineer with strong experience in project engineering across all phases of project development, design, construction and operation in the mining, oil and gas and renewable energy sectors. In addition to her civil construction experience, Candy is equally comfortable operating in a mechanical environment. She has provided her expertise on mechanical installation projects in large-scale PV Solar, gas flow line installation, and oil and gas well surface facility installation projects.

Candy is a strong communicator, able to engage with project teams at various levels. In coordination and project management accountable engagements Candy demonstrates a firm adherence to delivering focused, positive project outcomes. Her strengths lie in developing project work packages and plans, planning and scheduling at a range of levels, quality assurance documentation, managing upstream and downstream contracts and procurement and subcontractor management activities.

Conrad Hine - Associate – Business Analyst

Conrad is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and business analysis across a broad range of industries.

He has a track record of working a with SMEs and startups to become cash flow positive, managing projects alongside researchers from some of Australia’s top Universities, and working as an engineer on large scale infrastructure projects.

His diverse background and unique mix of both business and technical skills enable him to quickly understand the critical aspects of complex projects and provide targeted high-level analysis and recommendations. His experience as a business consultant enables him to efficiently research new markets and industries to formulate viable business cases and realistic budget projections.

Offering an exceptionally strong technical and analytical ability complemented by engaging relationship and negotiation skills and strong commercial acumen, Conrad influences and leads with impact to deliver the best project outcomes for all involved.

Frederico De Souza - Associate – Project Manager

A qualified Engineer, Frederico has worked on a wide variety of large construction projects, and his experience includes project management, project delivery and operation, civil estimation, and contract management. His technical ability and relationship skills, supported by his strong analytical qualities, enable him to influence, negotiate and lead successfully in challenging and complex environments. Frederico is capable of taking on complex problems and developing efficient solutions that always remain focused on best-for-project outcomes.

His knowledge spans a range of major projects, including large commercial, residential and subdivision civil construction and mining projects of varying disciplines demonstrating his diverse capability and flexibility. Ishara Kadugalla - Associate – Quantity Surveyor

Ishara is a qualified and recognised Quantity Surveyor with diverse expertise in project cost and commercial management traversing an international project forum. She brings more than six years of experience & technical skills in a range of building and construction disciplines working in owner, contractor, and consulting teams. As a Quantity Surveyor, she is adept at activities such as BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and other pre-contract and post-award commercial activities. Ishara has applied her experience on projects in the infrastructure (civil), energy (inc. renewables) residential, education, commercial, and transportation sectors.

Ishara has an excellent grasp of contracts over the project lifecycle, from tendering to ongoing contract management. She has worked in teams undertaking Delay Analysis to develop and maintain contractor-side extension of time entitlements on complex construction projects and lead the development of key communication pieces through those processes. Ishara brings strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, solving problems with precise planning, robust administrative practices, and diligence to any project assignment. She is an open communicator and committed to her own ongoing development.

Jordan Blair
Jordan Blair - Associate – Project Manager

Jordan is an RPEQ Chemical Engineer and Project Manager with broad site-based experience leading teams across oil and gas drilling operations, upstream infrastructure delivery, and large-scale solar projects. He excels at working with clients, suppliers, and contractors to simplify complex challenges, make confident decisions, and keep projects on track under pressure.

Drawing on strong analytical capability and qualifications in large-scale data, Jordan frequently acts as the link between technical, construction, and commercial teams. Joseph Boylan - Associate – Project Manager

Joseph is a seasoned Construction and Project Management Leader with over 15 years of construction industry experience and a comprehensive understanding of effective construction techniques and preparation principles.

As a Construction Manager, Project Manager and former Superintendent, Joseph has led, planned, directed and controlled the operations of allocated projects for successful project delivery in accordance with clients’ expectations.

Lorrayne Coelho - Associate – Commercial

Lorrayne is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in industrial engineering, project management, supply chain management, and business development. Her extensive experience includes leading significant projects within the Supply Chain and procurement departments indifferent industries such as food manufacturing and civil (mining and steel). Companies where she excelled in reducing capital levels, optimising resources planning and procurement processes, conducting audits, revising policies and standard operating procedures, training teams, and running workshops. She introduced process improvements through her initiatives, enhancing data traceability and operational efficiency.

Lorrayne thrives on the challenges posed by complex projects, finding them both rewarding and impactful. She has a proven track record in developing and implementing effective processes that optimize resources, control costs, manage risks related to operations and supply chain crises, minimize waste, and oversee contracts. Marianys Diaz - Associate – Project Engineer

A qualified and energetic Civil Engineer with strong experience in construction and environmental projects spanning Australia and Colombia, Marianys has built an exceptionally strong skill set in Quality Assurance management, project document development and cost estimation within solar farms, bulk earthworks and civil construction.

As Associate Project Engineer with Lidiar Group, Marianys has proven a unique combination of strong technical knowledge and excellent people skills to engage our construction contractors and stakeholders throughout the duration of projects. 

She also confidently identifies and resolves critical problems to achieve optimal outcomes for all involved.

Michael Beaven - Associate – Project Controls

Michael is a highly experienced Project Planning and Scheduling professional with over15 years Greenfield and Brownfield experience across a diverse range of Oil & Gas, Mining, and Construction projects.

Michael’s capability extends across project planning and scheduling, cost management and project reporting. He has strong experience in using Primavera P6 and MS Project, Primavera Risk Analysis Pertmaster, Enersight, Spotfire – Reporting and Analytics, JDEdwards, and is a certified SAP Professional. His roles have required complex stakeholder management, coordinating various information sources and streams to consolidate and communicate business-critical intelligence.

Construction site environments are Michael’s strength, he is an excellent member of any project team, whilst also able to work independently. He is results-focused, understands the pressures associated with construction project delivery and is always dedicated to positive project outcomes.

Nathan Wallis - Associate – Health & Safety Consultant

Nathan offers over 12 years’ experience in operational and safety processes, having worked across a broad range of high-risk environments. His hands-on, consultative approach, combined with his analytical thinking capabilities and strong stakeholder management skills, has made him a standout professional in the industry.

Nathan brings a robust portfolio of skills, including critical risk analyses, investigation, risk management, auditing, and negotiation. Rick is an accomplished Project Engineer with wide ranging experience on a variety project sites around Australia encompassing operations and maintenance programs, construction of oil and gas-related infrastructure, mining projects, and Government construction of varying disciplines. His knowledge and on-site experience includes all phases of project delivery and operation from planning and design, construction, and commissioning through to equipment condition-monitoring on operational plants.

Applying a highly technical approach to his work, Rick is confident in the advanced command of technology and data analytics in construction, as well as the development of project work packages, quality assurance documentation, project plans, as well as managing project construction schedules and procurement and subcontracting activities.

His exposure across a broad range of construction sectors demonstrates his diverse capability and flexibility, an ability to collaborates well with varied stakeholders and proven impact in resolving complex problems with efficient, tailored solutions while remaining focused on best-for-project outcomes.

Savio Pereira - Associate – Health & Safety

Steve Onogbo - Associate – Environmental Consultant

Steve is an extensively qualified Environmental Project Engineer with over 10 years’ experience in environmental management, contamination remediation, waste classification, and environmental planning and assessment. 

Over the years, Steve has developed a profound knowledge and understanding of Environmental Health and Safety operation procedures and Environmental Codes, Standards and Legislations, relative to the delivery of many infrastructure projects. 

Combining this expertise with critical thinking and complex problem-solving, he supports clients and contractors in mitigating environmental risk through environmental compliance in relation to erosion and sediment control, heritage, noise, dust, water management, contaminated land, flora and fauna, and sustainability.

Steve works with enthusiasm, passion, and personal drive to make positive contributions, applying extensive knowledge, collective experiences, and strong communication skills. Her capabilities span strategic HSE leadership, system development, compliance management, and project delivery, making her a strong asset in advisory and consulting engagements. Velina brings extensive knowledge of ISO 45001-aligned safety management systems, risk assessments, auditing, and contractor management processes, with a focus on both regulatory compliance and practical implementation.

Velina has led end-to-end delivery of enterprise-level safety projects, including development of compliance modules, API integrations, audit tools, and vendor onboarding workflows.
