WHS In Safe Hands With Julio Bará
Lidiar Group is pleased to announce Julio Eduardo Bará as Senior Associate – Health & Safety to head the organisation’s Health, Safety & Wellbeing team. From implementing, auditing, and improving health and safety management systems, processes, and procedures to remedial systematic strategies, the team will benefit from Julio’s management and experience gained from supporting projects internationally and locally here in Australia.
An advocate for making health, safety and wellbeing topics relevant to the workforce and C-Suite business leaders, Julio is passionate about working closely with clients to improve staff engagement and senior-level involvement, especially when it comes to emphasising preventative health and safety and risk-based programs, not just compliance.
Lidiar Group’s Darren Cave said, “I am thrilled to welcome Julio to Lidiar Group. Progressive, innovative, and proactive safety, health and wellbeing culture and business strategies are vital to the successful delivery of major projects, and Julio’s experience and wealth of knowledge will be a meaningful asset to Lidiar Group, our team, and the projects we support on behalf of our clients.”
Julio’s experience drives his desire for not only risk management and health and safety initiatives, but also employee mental health and wellbeing. In his previous role at Clayton Utz, Julio was one of the founding members of the Corporate Mental Health Alliance Australia (CMHAA), where he led the programs of works for the CMHAA, designing best practices that assisted in the firm’s Mental Health Strategy.
“Throughout my career, I have taken the approach of ensuring the delivery of related policies and procedures to minimise risk and to promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture. Providing and fostering a healthy environment for our teams, clients and communities is vital. I’ve always viewed my role as the key bridge between workers and business owners — allowing for meaningful and sustainable conversations to be conducted,” said Julio.
“I am excited to join Lidiar Group and to lead a team of health and safety professionals committed to enhancing the performance of our client’s projects, as well as the Lidiar Group team, through exceptional risk-management and proactive health and wellbeing strategies founded on considered frameworks,” said Julio.
“I have seen time and time again the positive impact of what implementing safety leadership coaching and mentoring across all levels of business can bring to elevating workplace culture, staff engagement, and ultimately, client success. I look forward to advocating for Lidiar Group and its clients’ health, safety, and wellbeing across internal and external projects.”
